Ok I am back now for the next few days to start answering questions - however...things in my life are far beyond chaotic so I am going to have to be changing a few things...

1. I will still answer all health/fitness/bodybuilding questions 100% free of charge in this thread.

2. I will NO LONGER be able to create custom workout plans, diets, etc. - These take me many hours to make for each person individually...and I simply do not have the time, money, or energy to do this anymore. One of my jobs in real life is a personal trainer - which I get paid to do...and barely make enough to get by with medical school.

3. I will NO LONGER be able to reply to PM's - if you have some SERIOUSLY embarrassing question(s) - then you can PM me....if that is not the case, PLEASE just post to the thread!! I will get back to you as soon as possible, but everyone who posts in the thread ends up helping everyone else out who might have similar problems.

4. I will try to be on JSP at least 2x a day for 30 minutes each time...so your questions will be answered as soon as I can - please be patient - I hope you all understand.

Thanks!

Sorry things are still chatoic m9. Hope everything works out in life for ya!

the pain is really bad when i perform squats and also running and jumping...i play basketball and football and every time after i play it's really sore the next day or 2...when i do heavy squats its sore for about 3 days after that...
basically i was wondering if it'd still be ok for me to do squats and also what are some ways to treat this damn disease?

NO! DO NOT DO SQUATS!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Any deformity, disease, disorder, or injury to the knees automatically means DO NOT DO SQUATS!!!

You can substitute leg-press and smith machine standing lunges instead....I'm sorry, but its all you should be doing if you wish to preserve your knees.

I'm 19, about 190 lbs, and I'm looking to lose my gut and my boobies, and possibly some fat in my thighs.
I've been heading over to my community gym working on some of the machines there and have been taking PM Protein.
I hear that running a lot will help me lose that weight or fat, but I have asthma, so it hurts to run. I try to run/walk/run/walk at the park when I can, but I'm looking for an alternative. Maybe a punching bag, some swimming, or indoor cycling.

Think you can give me a few pointers or tips?

Hey there.

I can recommend to you the following:

1. Eat 6 small meals a day (spaced out every 2-3 hours) - a good example of diet should be...

Meal 1 - bowl of low-sugar cereal and milk
Meal 2 - handful of mixed nuts
Meal 3 - chicken on a salad (low calorie dressing only...or olive oil + vinegar)
Meal 4 - hard boiled egg with some raw veggies
Meal 5 - a few slices of lunch meat and cheese
Meal 6 - cottage cheese

2. NO SUGAR! Cut sugar out of your diet. No desserts, no sodas, no chocolate, etc.

3. Drink only Water, Diet Soda, Tea/Coffee, and other zero-calorie beverages.

4. Exercise at least 1 hour a day 5 days a week. The best way to get this exercise for you is to just attempt pushups, jumping jacks, bodyweight squats, knee raises, jump rope, swimming, or biking. All of these are easily controllable to accommodate your asthma.

5. Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night

6. Make sure you get at least 30 minutes of direct sun on your body a day for optimal vitamin D (aids in fat loss)

7. Take a fat burner like GAT Jet Fuel or Nutrex Lipo 6.

If you follow those steps you will achieve your goal in no time.
