What are your thoughts on Bacon? Ive read the most dangerous part is the preserving with nitrate which turns toxic at high temperatures

How does it effect your general health? Can being both physically active and bacon hungry balance itself out?

I eat bacon WITHOUT nitrites.

Try Applegate Bacon

I avoid nitrates and nitrites as much as possible.

Wow thank you for posting this...

I haven't eaten bacon in about 9 months after researching nitrates/nitrites.:O.

No problem. I tend to buy all applegate meats when available. They make great stuff. Also, the nitrite/nitrate free hot dogs are unbelievable.

I recently had a chat with a friend who is trying to cut and he told me that he's restricting both bananas and oranges out of his diet because they contain too much carbs and sugar respectively.
How plausible is his argument? Should he be doing this? I ask because I worry he may be going too far with his diet.

In short, is it necessary for someone who is trying to cut (get muscle definition) to be restricting oranges and bananas from their diet?

hi :),

During keto, is it fine to use protein with 3g of carbs, 27g of protein, and 1.5g of fat per serving?

Also when cooking eggs, I pour the oil into the pan and fry the eggs. Does any of the oil disperse? Is it necessary to add more in order to maintain the macro nutrients?

Yes. Restriction of sugar-rich fruits and other items would be recommended on ANY cutting diet.

Bananas and oranges are both very high in sugar.

Those shakes are fine as long as your total daily carbs are still under 20-25g total with nothing from sugar.

Secondly, in regard to eggs and cooking oil. Yes obviously a lot of the oil remains in the pan as you can tell. How much of it is the question. Thus I recommend you just lightly coat your pan in butter (not oil) and if you want to use oil as a macro, add it directly to your food after cooking it to ensure you get ALL of what you need.

Raynor, I was hoping to get a detailed or semi-detailed meal plan for myself who is trying to get bigger (or lean bulk if I'm not mistaken).
