can one begin to start hypertrophy right away if one has never lifted before, or does one must go through strength training first.

Most of the time you can save your rotator cuffs by changing grips. Try wider or closer, also try NEUTRAL grips (use dumbbells instead of barbells for pushing exercises and make your wrists stay in a neutral position).

Most of the problem with wrists and shoulders is caused by straight bars and/or overextension.  When doing military press/shoulders press - stop at the 90 degree angle. Do not let your arms go beyond 90 degrees for ANY pushing exercise (well, just below 90 degrees, so 89 degrees lol).

You can also try some rotator cuff strengthening exercises such as the ones here:

BASIC STRENGTH TRAINING FIRST.

After at least a year of lifting, and a good foundation is built, hypertrophy can be used.

I would stop doing barbell bench and exchange it for dumbbell bench. You can definitely hit you chest, just change the grip to a more neutral position.

For dips, scrap these because this puts a TON of strain on the rotator cuffs. After the pain subsides, you can go back to them, but try not to go as deep.

Sweet potatoes have a bit more fiber, more antioxidants, and also an obviously lower impact on the Glycemic Index. Thus, sweet potatoes are superior to white potatoes in almost every context. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean white potatoes are bad for you. They have their place just the same. The benefits to sweet potatoes are probably about 10-15%.

Hey,

Do you happen to know what causes these small white spots in your nails? It's weird because I often have it. Used to think it was a lack of calcium, but that's quite impossible.

Thanks :)
