While it may seem as if you're doing light weights, you have to realize that he tells you to do 5 + extra for the final set. Let's say my true 5rm is 100 for squats, but I'm doing 90 on my final set for 5s week. I wouldn't necessarily stop at 5, unless I had nothing left. You're supposed to do additional reps, but still leave one in the tank.
Additional reps only in your final set, right?

No, I did for a max rep. But I didn't even challenge myself in the previous ones. I'd rather work my ass of in several reps, but as I said before, it's my preference, and the only month I trained strength made the gains I would have had to plan for like 2-3 months in 5/3/1, so no, ty.
