That's rested dough. My brother isn't here atm to take a pic.
Ah well, I'm sure my squat will shoot up when I start.

certainly. since my time on 5/3/1 i went from 145x8 with ridiculous bouncy form to 200x3 with slow controlled form. when i first started lifting i don't think i could squat 100 lbs. if you're consistent and eat your squat will shoot up like crazy.

There's nothing wrong with bouncing out of the hole if you squat narrow.

Yeah, maybe I should add more than 5lbs a week otherwise my bench and squat will hit 225 at the same time lol.
Infact I'll bench 100kg before squat if I add 5lbs a week.
Going to 5x5 70kg start with bench, 60kg (1 plate) with squat.

BTW, as for 5x5.
Is it 5lbs a week (2 workouts) or 5lbs a workout? I'm sure it's a week but some people say 5lbs a session? :S

That's why you usually add 10lbs on dealift/squat while on 5/3/1. 10 lbs every months

This is 20lbs a month, proberly 'cause it's noob strength gains, haha.
I'll proberly try 10lbs/week on squat, I'm sure my legs are (could) be strong enough being as I can deadlift heavy etc, just never squatted and it's a weird thing to get used to.
So 5lbs on ohp/bench/dead and 10lbs on squat/week. See how it goes anyway.

e/ when does winter officially turn to spring? Winter deal atm £100 for 6 months membership, HHNNNGGG.
e/ will google, proberly differnt season times where you are. :bonk:
e/ March 20th, that's alright I'll have the money before then #foreverpoor

You'll fail if you add 40 lbs a months........better look for an other program so you won't blame 5/3/1 when you're not progressing.

I mean for the first month or so.
It's not like my legs are too small, I should be squatting close to what Ethan is but I don't squat, if you see what I mean?
Like... Oh idk, see how it goes like I said.

e/say if after first week, next squat I add 5kg, if I successfully do the 5x5 then I'm good.
Ofcourse if I fail to get 5x5 I'll take it back 5lbs.

I'm pretty sure SS and Madcow's you do add 5/workout (for squats). The reason is because you start at a number that IS NOT your true max. I think it took me 3 weeks to reach what my actual 5x3 was. Then it keeps your progressing for a while. The point is to take advantage of noob gains. Maybe I'm completely wrong and I'm not even thinking of the same program, who knows?

But yeah, adding 40lbs in 5/3/1 would be hilarious.

I added 40 lbs to my squat in a month with WSBB. Preplanned progression always seemed stupid to me. Go to your max always and thus you'll know you're progressing as fast as you can.
