My fiance has been getting headaches every night for the past week or two. Is there anything she can do to avoid them?

Hello, SKCRaynor

I plan to start my first serious cycle of creatine.

I am going to get swole by summertime.  What dosages would you recommend?  I am 6'6", 215lbs.

Also, don't worry: I've hid the tub of creatine in a safe/secure place.  I have a clean record with the law.

No trolling please.

Hello skc, got a quick question if you have knowledge about rehab/prehab work. I have developed what I believe to be 'tennis elbow' over a period of time lifting; pain in the 'funny bone' area. I use a fairly wide suicide grip on bench (ring fingers on the ring), with a PL setup. I believe it to come from a combination of certain muscles compensating for other weaker ones (I have relatively weak shoulders, and I am beginning to address that), carpel tunnel syndrome, and elbows flaring at the bottom of the barbell bench rep. I am only pushing ~245lbs at 5'9 175lbs. I took 3 weeks off lifting, but to no avail; it still hurt when I resumed lifting.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may have a combination of problems.

First of all, I would change your bench routine to dumbbells only for the next month. Angle your hands to a point where pain is not an issue. In addition, I would like you to be wearing elbow sleeves when you perform any pressing motions.

When you come back to bench, press to go a little closer grip and try to keep the elbows tucked in and now splayed out.

lastly...you can see a chiropractor to work on those elbows a little bit, that usually helps if you have a slight misalignment in the wrist, shoulder, or forearm which is causing the elbow pain.

BOTH. It is to your advantage to alternate between both. Rest pause builds more strength whereas drop sets build more volume.

Pretty much the only methods that I have stood by for years was constant self-reassurance (telling yourself what you want to do, that you are going to do it, and no one or nothing is going to prevent you from doing it) and basically repeat it in your head, or out loud, throughout the day and especially before a workout (or whatever event you are performing) and before bed (also immediately when you wake up).

Furthermore, find something that truly motivates you and focus on that throughout the day imagining yourself achieving that goal. Feel yourself getting there and just zone in to where you want to be.

Mental fortitude is something you have to learn on your own terms in your own way. If you want it bad enough, it will come to you.

Several things can cause this...

1. Birth Control and/or Pregnancy
2. Not sufficiently hydrated
3. Allergies (including seasonal, food, and environmental)
4. Sinus condition
5. Eye strain
6. Dietary imbalance or nutritional deficiency
7. Hormonal imbalance
8. High blood pressure
9. Medications and/or certain supplements
10. Stress

So for all intent and purpose we must first determine which of these 10 she falls under. To figure that out, go through each one and when you reply to me, tell me ONE of the following for each of the numbers above - "True" (if it applies to her), "False" (if it does not apply), "Not Sure" (if you don't know).

I will then make a guide to follow based on those answers.

Hey RaynDaddy, hope you like the new name

I need you to put this issue to rest for me

Blisters - to pop them or not to pop?

If it matters, I have very large ones on my feet from new shoes, they just feel awkward ATM as there is a lot of fluid in there..

Hey there lol, nice name haha

anyway - DO NOT POP BLISTERS!

Instead, soak the affected area in warm water with epsom salt for 30-45 minutes twice a day. Also, you can apply neosporin or other antibiotic cream to the area to ensure that when it does not, it minimizes chance of infection.

Also you the shoes you are wearing, you really need to add a better insole (try sofsole brand) and keep them a bit looser.
