I see, but how about the 60/20/20 (Protein/Carbs/Fat) diet? Too much protein?

Need your advice on a workout plan I want to start using:

http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/power-muscle-burn-5-day-powerbuilding-split.html

I want to combine all the leg workouts into one day and the deadlifting with the back/traps day to make it a 4 day split
This would be utilizing the "power / muscle / burn" sets... ; the routine would look something like this:

Day 1: Back/Traps  (deadlift / bent row, lat pulldown, cable row, shrugs)
Day 2: Chest/Tris    (bench, incline bench, DB bench, DB fly, close grip bench, seated french, pulldown)
Day 3: Legs            (squats, barbell lunges, front barbellsquat, leg extensions, seated/standing calf raises, leg curls)
Day 4: Cardio / Abs
Day 5: Shoulders/Biceps    (seated barbell press, arnold press, front raises, lateral raises, pinwheel curls, standing barbell curls, cable preacher curls)
Day 6: Cardio / Abs
Day 7: Rest

Any suggestions? Thanks a lot in advance.

Looks good in general, should work out nicely for you.

When you say 3 day split, do you mean 3 days on 1 day off, or 3 days on per week?

60-20-20 is fine also, It's just generally pretty hard on the kidneys when you get up into the 400g+ of protein per day, especially when a lot of it comes from shakes. I have tried to tone the protein down a bit, and dial up the fats for better results.

3 days per week, followed up with boxing and cardio 5-6 days per week (boxing 4 times)

A friend of mine is trying to get in shape so she is going to be going to the gym with me. What's a good routine I can give her to prep for the military?

Thanks!

Hey Raynor,

So i've ben trying to create a well thought out cutting diet and i've been using this. Let me know what you think.

----------
Breakfast: two slices of whole wheat bread, one can of tuna, one tablespoon of mayo, and one slice of cheese. (tuna melt kinda deal)

Meal#2: Two cans of tuna

Meal#3: Low-carb tortilla (4g) with a serving of ground beef (96/4) with slices of tomatoe made into a burrito with 150g of broccoli and cauliflower.

Meal#4 Chicken breast (4 oz) with 150g of broccoli and cauliflower.

Post-workout: two scoops of whey protien with one table spoon of peanut butter

Meal#5: Two (4oz) pieces of chicken breast with a light sauce made of tomatoe sauce, mushrooms, and olives (5g of carbs)

Meal#6: One cup of greek yogurt (two packets of stevia added and some cinnamon), One spoon of peanut butter.
------------

What do ya think? I get around 200g of protein, 100g of carbs, and 65g of fats roughly

Hey Raynor,

Could you explain to me the purpose behind your cutting routine? The 3 on 1 off 3 on thing. It seems like so much volume. Wouldn't this have a negative impact as you wouldn't be able to repair your muscles as efficiently because you are cutting? I am not doubting you it just seems like most people cut back during cutting and you seem to think otherwise :O Looking for your logic behind it :) Thanks man!
