Not the best pick. The best sources of protein are whey protein, egg protein, chicken protein, beef protein, milk protein. Hemp is a vegetarian option if you happen to be one. If you do not care about milk products, then whey is your friend. Hemp on total absorption rate is not even remotely close to whey, and also as far as amino makeup is also doesn't come close. Would it hurt you? no. But for the best gains stick with whey.

hypertrophy for size
maintenance should be eating your BMR cal requirements + whatever extra cals you need from exercise energy expenditure. Just google a bmr calculator.
