Alright, so im thinking about dieting for jst a week at a time, and on my deloads...

I've never tried taken advantage of deloads before and probly have taken maybe 1-2 wks off since I started lifting 3.5yrs ago

I want to try and take more frequent deloads and see how that does, plus take that time to diet for the week by ramping my protein up, cutting carbs and moderate fats.

Once the week is over, I'll be back in the gym and back on a bulking schedule for another 8wks...

How does that sound?

Why would you deprive your body of carbs and fats, when it's taking time to repair your body on that week off. If anything you would want to feed it more and maybe up protein and cut fat/carbs down a little if you want to stay lean? I'm confused.

I don't have a squat rack available so if I swap squats for hack squats is that good or to get any results does it have to be a squat?

Not as good...but if it's all you got...it'll have to do.

Hey raynor,

quick question, i heard somewhere that ectomorphs shouldnt be at the gym as long as non-ectos because their body enters (insert scientific name that means body enters muscle eating mode here)....is this true at all?

I try to limit my gym time to 45 mins because of this but am finding it isn't enough time for me to get everything done............

Untrue.

As long as you are getting sufficient nutrition/calories as well as PWO rest you will be okay

GSXR why must u comment on every one of my posts, who are obviously to Raynor?

He asked you last time to not put in ur 2 cents.

If I wanted your advice I would of PM'd you.

edit

Besides you answer is exactly what I said I was going to do...

I would baiscally be running a keto diet for the week of the deload as I dont need any carbs to fuel workouts, I would be keep protein at like 1.2g per lb

Give it a shot - the only way to know how YOUR body will react is to try it.

I see nothing wrong with it, so do it and let me know how it goes for you.

edit:

I also forgot to mention to make sure that your carbs are fairly high during the actual working week to ensure your glycogen stores stay away from depletion.

speaking of nutrition...i downloaded this calorie counter called cron-o-meter yesterday just to see what my calorie intake is roughly (because i hadn't really been paying attention) and have tracked my past 2 days of foods...

i added all of day 1 at the end of day 1 and tracked day 2 as i went through it

is this a decent diet (mainly day 2, i know day 1 has too much fat) for someone my size (5'6 126 atm)...i have gained 9 pounds in about 11 weeks

trying to get as close as i can to 40/40/20 but that seems like too much protein for me..so idk? any advice would help

Hey raynor!

There's been a bit of a debate on these forums in the past, and plenty on google.

I was wondering what your take is on training when sick / getting sick

I'm just talking about the common flu... Symptoms being throat feels like razor blades, nose blocked, etc

To train or not to train?
