milk is undeniably bad for us and yet we preach about how its so good , why is this ? Long term short term its bad.

In relation to this,

Raynor I have probably been drinking 1-2 cups of milk every day, should I switch my milk with protein to water with protein?

Raynor, have a bit of middle back soreness after a squat incident on monday. It was a weight I could handle but when I came off balance on my last rep my spotter said my back bent in a weird way. It's felt only a little sore all week (like I slept on it wrong.) I did my workout on wednesday with very light weight and lots of stretching to try and give it some time to rest. Today is supposed to be my PR day before beginning a new program but idk if it'd be wise squatting real heavy today as the soreness is still there. What do you think? And would I be ok only doing my DL/bench PRS today?

e: soreness is right under shoulderblades

Continue the cut until you are around 8% Body fat. from there you should begin a bulk

Not sure where you get these ideas...but try to avoid coming to over-generalizations and just posting your opinions in the thread. It may give people the wrong idea and ultimately lead to arguments

However my take on it.

The problem with milk is primarily the hormones and antibiotics the cows are given. These (although in trace amounts) show up in the milk itself. Long term studies have shown that there could be links between certain diseases and these trace amounts of hormones...as well as antibiotic resistance from meats/milk that are treated with antibiotics (this is less substantiated).

Anyway, to cure that I obviously recommend organic milk (no hormones/antibiotics).

Unless you are lactose intolerant, milk should not have any negative effects.

No...please do not listen to opinions shared by others on here.

This is why I tell everyone not to offer their "expertise" here except for myself and 7ds...in order to avoid confusion and misinformation.

That soreness you speak of is totally normal when squatting heavy or for extended periods of time. I would not worry about it if it's just SORENESS.

If you feel a pinch or pull or any other type of pain, STOP.

But generally soreness is acceptable.

ok, I guess I'm just concerned because it doesn't exactly feel like DOMS.

It probably isnt DOMS...it's probably mild injury type soreness which comes at the result of a DIRECT or SUSTAINED trauma to an area. However if you dont have sharp, immobilizing, or intense pains...it's not a problem.

Hey Raynor,

Was wondering if you could give me a quick very basic diet and easy exercise plan for my mother. Preferably nothing that requires any gym membership or anything just walking and maybe crunches.

Shes 46 and a smoker probably 5 foot 9 and 165lbs. Wants to lose like 15lbs or so for a trip coming in February.

Thanks,
