Next meet is provincials on June 21st. Goals for then TBA.  Will probably just run Candito again in prep, then do something else afterwards.

Here are the results of my second powerlifting meet from yesterday. My 3rd bench and deadlift felt easy.
Forgot to post BW in the video, 80.05KG (176.5lbs).
Wilks score is spoiler, copy paste tiny text after this into notepad to see or CTRL+Scroll up 293.56.

Enjoy!

great lifts and progress.

side note, u look funny approaching the deadlifts, like ur unsure of how to approach it.

Edit: Im curious, are u allowed to do sumo deadlifts and choose not to, or is it not allowed? I ask because it seems most tall people prefer sumo, and you're quite tall.

thx m8.

Most people just go to the bar, stand there for a few seconds, then agressively grab the bar and rip. I like to focus on locking out my shoulders backwards before, then making sure I have a good grip and stance, then try not to jerk the bar and stay tight. So it may look timid but that's just me going through my queue.

Sumo is aloud, but I've never tried it. I'm keeping it in mind for the future, however my legs are much weaker than my back and for now I think I can pull more conventional.

Awesome Justin! 145/97.5/215 is good considering you've been doing this for months. :)

What are your goals? Do you have an other meet in mind?

Next meet is September 27th, so I've got ~3 months now. That is the perfect time frame to run smolov if I start next week (ending September 22, which gives me a 5 days to rest my legs before the meet), so I'm thinking of doing that. What do you think? If I do that I plan on throwing in some Bench, OHP (I'm guessing I'll want to do seated...) and pullups. So no deadlifting at all.

Smolov is out. Still deciding if I want to run Aube's program because it has a lot of volume and I like hitting the big 3 and an accessory or two and getting out. If I skip stuff, there's no point being on that program.

Going on vacation tomorrow until Sunday, so last workout was today. Did this

Squat
135x5
225x5
255x6
250x6
250x6

Deadlift
135x5
225x5
315x3
365x6
365x6

Bench
135x5
145x10
160x8
165x5
