I use facebook strictly for messaging, it's just far too convenient when communicating between countries or states (it's like an email designed specifically for communicating with people).

Facebook is just way too time-consuming. People that don't really matter to you are posting shit 24/7 is frustrating, you just keep them added for the sake of it. Also, people are just spreading narrow-minded opinions, taking pictures of food or some other shit. It's just honestly pointless, and it keeps you stuck in other people's lives and other people's business. It's the devil.

if it's not urgent, then instead of texting or calling people, i send them an fb message. Email is way too inconvenient and old-fashioned i.e. people don't use it for socialising.

it's also very useful for organising events and for reaching multiple people simultaneously. What's not to like? I don't exactly waste my time on facebook.
