Or that he doesn't need to be such a bro?

Clean calories? What is this, 1963? It's quite obvious who has the better physique and strength, but seriously?

It has already been proven that the 80/20 rule is more than sufficient. Clean calories are non-existent because a calorie is, essentially, a calorie.

And yes, Pure is right. You could be getting the excess calories from carbs or fat. How much do you weigh, exactly?

Oh, I know you all too well.

I would like to make it known that I'm not arguing the fact that he is consuming an excess of protein, but that he thinks it's completely necessary, as well as how he makes it sound like he's on a budget. Protein is generally the most expensive macronutrient (carbs and fat are cheap as fuark), so overdoing it on the protein only raises the grocery bill.

Yeah, but that's so expensive... The fact that he buys whey as well is a little absurd to me too, but whatever. Inb4allofjspstartsconsuming5000000gprotein.

Clean calories...from food that isn't from McDonalds.
I didn't say lean calories, if that's what you were trying to get at. :P
A calorie is not a calorie, when you're not going for excessive amounts of calories. Calories are only calories when you've already hit your macro needs for the day.
Go on a diet with 5% macro intake from fats. :P

And who said I'm eating for excess calories?
For the sake of things...let's say 195/6.5%....maybe a little bigger.

I stay ultra lean all year round, make strength & size gains, and don't even count my calories...
I'd say I have to know it pretty well to do that.
I give my body what it wants.

Mind, body, and soul--all connected as one...or whatever the hell Dux would ramble about.

I pretty much only liked eating chicken as a kid.

inb4it'sover9000.

I wake up STARVING, every morning.
Hell...I wake up in the middle of some nights.

If my body is waking me up due to wanting something...I don't exactly have the time to get into the kitchen and make something, since we're way past that point.

I'm not deciphering it.

@Morholt,

I don't even know what lean calories are, haha.

As for clean, I still don't believe in "clean" calories. The way people generally determine if a calorie is "clean" or not is if it is accompanied by micronutrients. A calorie is still, essentially, a calorie. I didn't mention macronutrient breakdowns because that's a separate thing that should be quite obvious. I may have worded it a bit ambiguously, but what I mean by excess was that once you've reached your protein intake (which shouldn't be 440g), you then fill your fat, then fill the rest with whatever you need. You made it sound like you're on a somewhat strict budget, so filling it with protein doesn't seem to be the most efficient thing to do.

As for body types, that's just nonsense. Body types simply don't exist, and if they do, it's to a VERY minor extent.

As for iron supplements, I still don't see why you would be taking those, especially since you're consuming 3-4lbs of meat per day.

I'm not trying to get you to change anything, obviously, because what you do works for you (though I don't agree with pretty much any of it), but there's going to be a whole bunch of Morholt followers (everybody on JSP) trying to jump up and copy exactly what you do because they think it's the right way.
