I think it's a really small amount in my multivitamin, like 50mg- so most likely negligible(I actually feel like I'm going slightly less to the bathroom, or the same). Seems like citrate or oxide are popular ones for that

Interesting never seen those in a lot of multivitamins. I've just seen oxide, citrate, and aspartate. In order of most seen to least. Aspartate is the most absorbed of the 3

Seems like both malate and biglycinate are pretty good forms

They are in quality supplements.

Just eat food and get regular check ups. Most people don’t have electrolyte imbalances that require replacement. And if you do, follow the guidance of your provider.

You have to know how much ELEMENTAL magnesium there is.

Forms such as oxide will say it's 500 mg, the concentration is high, but it's also potentially laxative. Same for citrate.

Look for magnesium glycinate, bisglycinate, malate or threonate. Threonate is more expensive and possibly not necessary depending on use.

You can shoot for 200 mg of elemental magnesium to start and go from there. Hardly see why there would be a need to go above 400. :)

I think I lack magnesium in my diet, I also take Multi vitamins and Zinc.
Most humans dont realize that their diet lacks these important vitamines and minerals.

Your body does an amazing job extracting minerals and keeping homeostasis without supplementation unless you have an actual medical condition or critical illness.

Most humans believe everything they read on the internet too. Ben Franklin said that.

Do you get blood work at an annual exam? That may have included a magnesium so you could see your level and then discuss the results with your provider to see if it’s something you need to take.
