Its true. I can pull WAY more for singles by just exploding out of the hole. Form be damned.

I missed a set the other day for 545x2, went home pissed and the next day I said "fuck this shit" and pulled 545x3 without worrying about all of the "slack out of the bar". Just gripped and ripped.

Now if I can learn how to actually perform a deadlift correctly, maybe I could do both.

Same and I always thought I knew how to deadlift well. Some people I think just rock that style well. Look at someone like John haack. Dude just dive bombs to the bar and rips. Or Pete Rubish style in his old days.

I'm sure both will have crippled backs later in life though. I think Pete already hurts especially now that he's off the gear.

Dude, Petes last total was like 1400 or something and he almost bombed out. Guy should start taking gear again.

And John Haack is just an anomaly. And he plays runescape/he's a chemist. I bet that dude is cool as fuck to kick it with.

And yeah, my back is gonna be murdered when i'm 50.

Yeah, Pete is a shadow of his former self but who knows what health complications he had going on underneath after that much tren.

That's why I could never do gear. You would always be looking back at numbers you can never again accomplish. That has to be depressing. At least naturally you can progress well into your 30s if not early 40s.

lol for some reason my deadlift form was trash even all the way to mid 600s.

The two main factors that helped me correct my form were switching to double overhand with straps (since it's allowed in strongman) and doing a really really deep squat before starting the lift. It kinda forces you to activate the leg part of the movement before engaging the back. Helped me pull low 800s without form issues.

When I record mine it looks like trash when I do touch and go reps. I had 515x3x5 the other day and sometimes it feels like I get out of groove and end up doing a stiff leg deadlift.

The only fix might be to stop doing touch and go.

Yea do a hard reset every rep. Frankly you'll probably end up getting better results and be safer in the process.

I bought some cheapo grip exercisers from 5 below.
Been working well.
I see an improvement in strength, durability.
Also getting more forearm definition.
Not bad for less that $5 brand new.

If my dick isn't purple from being squeezed... Then your mom isn't fulfilling my "grip strength expectations".
