Is it possible to retrain body to sleep on back?

only if you can retrain the anatomy of your airway. lose weight, get assessed for sleep apnea, fix your soft palate

I'm a side sleeper @6'2", 50" shoulders...

You need proper bedding/pillow if I could suggest anything.
Thick mattress topper, good side sleeper pillow, thick duvet.

Side rant: A lot of people go into Bed Bath and Beyond and get cheap when they think, oh no way I'm gonna spend like $700 on bedding--motherfucker you spend 1/3 of your life sleeping and the quality of your conscious life is reliant on your ability to get deep and restful sleep. Make the investment.

If that is so than it is even more reason to ensure that those 6 hours are maximized with proper bedding.

Practice makes perfect.
I'm gonna try to sleep on my back tonight, won't use a pillow either. I always get terrible dreams when I do fall asleep on my back, though.

Front side, face in pillow sleeper for lyfe

None of those beside weight loss are possible with just practice and a significant proportion of people with sleep apnea or snoring aren't even overweight.

It’s okay. I’ll snore right through the apnea
