I'm rather hesitant to post pics of myself anywhere. http://uploads.im/9eC3r.png This should give an idea of what I am talking about though. the red is how my arms are because I can't scoot further down the bench, and the green dots are inline with my shoulders.

* having an issue with img tags id say, http://uploads.im/9eC3r.png

Ok there we go. The red is how my arms have to be to clear the rests for the bar. The green dots are inline with where my shoulders are. I can't scoot further down the bench to get them inline because of the way the frame comes up between your legs. The second image shows what it would be like if i was able to get inline with the bar. Basically because of this, if the guy in the last pic had this happening, the bar would be where the red dot is instead, which puts it at a very bad angle. I don;t see how any form can get around the bench physically being in your way :/

with lines showing the difference between what I am assuming is proper form, and that angle I would have to do to not hit the bar rests

****EDIT*** Tried it with the inclined position just to see, and it does let me get inline with the bar. No pain or anything, and MUCH less effort needed, even though it was said earlier that it is an aggressive incline. Why the hell it is designed to where you can't lay horizontally and actually be in line?

*edit 2* Added 40 lbs to the bar, still nowhere near max, did 15 reps w/o an issue at all, still no pain. Litterally makes no sense why the damn thing can go completely flat at all, unless maybe for situps?

Because I assumed that it was like every other bench that was being used in the videos that people were suggesting that I watch to learn how to do it properly? Yeah... I find it kind of funny, this seems like a problem that anyone who had been lifting weights for any amount of time should have noticed fairly quickly. You can't use a weight bench like it is depicted 99.9% of the time, the beginner should have totally known this.

Building endurance he says and compares it to walking.

OP is a troll.

You already know the problem. The bench is shit.
