until recently i haven't really realized how split the decisions were on this :rofl:


too hot sucks, too cold sucks,

but in my opinion it should be on the hotter side, it drives me nuts when i have to wear 3 layers to stay warm

if i'm just sitting down at the computer with no activity, 72 is good. working with weights, maybe 65-70. running outside, 50-65 without the sun. my coworker loves to run outside when it's 85F and that's crazy.

most of their clientele that have an opinion are probably menopausal women that are always running hot so they keep it cold

I'd be curious to see whether there's any research on:

str training gains - related to gym temperature

injury prevalence - related to gym temperature

I doubt there's much difference in the 1st category but I imagine there's a difference in the 2nd.
