Because some people have shitty dorsiflexion in their ankles (me) and it's better than standing on weights under your heels. They wouldn't be a thing, if they weren't a thing..

i have pretty bad ankle mobility :cry:

i finally realized it though and it's been getting better with work, so squatting or deadlifting without shoes isn't the best option for me

so far i really like the shoes i ended up getting
