For the most part they would be shoes you only wear for lifting, so as long as they fight well they will last you awhile. I use to think I was hard on shoes, but it turns out cheap shoes just don't last long, once I started buying higher quality shoes they started lasting longer.
Not sure if Nike is shit, but all my shoes kept getting a hole where my pinky toe is haha

i used wrestling shoes for a long time.

If you have an outlet mall near you, and they sell reebok, i HIGHLY reccomend the crossfit lite tr's (the name is misleading, they're made by mark bell for powerlifting) excellent deadlift/bench shoes super low to the ground comfy non compressible sole
first time i bought em at an outlet store i only paid $40 for them, some fukker stole em out my car and i had to buy new pair when i was in australia, cost me $160 with taxes/shipping/exchange rate etc :(
damn i forgot about those, i do have a few outlets near me actually it would be awesome if i could get those as a 2nd pair, i ended up buying the Adidas Xplorers and haven't deadlifted or squatted in them yet.
