I don't even lift

But, when I did, partial Oly Lifts were favorites.
In training, usually incorporated these 2-4 times a week with an emphasis on speed.
power hang cleans
power hang snatches
power hip cleans
power hip snatches
hang snatch high pulls
power jerks
split jerks

I only needed it for the speed/power generation, so there was no reason to catch the bar deep to achieve that purpose, hence the power instead of fulls. Also a lot more focus on speed/volume vs heavy weight. So clean variations rarely went higher than 150kg, and snatch variations didn't usually go over 100kg (on rare occasions, we would bump up the snatch high pulls to like 120kg).

the fight in this lift is exactly what lifting is about. going hard when the chips are trying to stack themselves against you. very nice! :)

Oh shit I completely forgot I made this thread hahaha.
I remember seeing Plaad and Aube posting vids way back in the day.
To bad you guys are injured/don't do it anymore!
Currently my best numbers (last 6 months) are 123kg/270lbs Snatch and 150kg/330lbs Clean and Jerk.
Dabbling between CrossFit and my weightlifting obsession has me caught between both disciplines so I've never been able to realize my full potential.
Hopefully in a few weeks when the gyms schedule dies down a bit I can focus more on gains!

It's one of my favorite lifts of all time!

You'll see more of me!!! I now train in a Weightlifting gym and I'll be doing my first WL comp 2 weeks after CPU Nationals which is 9 days from now... :D

I actually started scribbling up a bit more serious programming just cause of this thread :D . I still only do power clean variations and power/squat jerks though cause my knee might get fukd again otherwise.

Those # are great dude! Mirin snatch, how much you weigh?
Well Crossfit will have carryover to OL, the conditioning and the amount exercises will only make you a better lifter when (if) you commit to OL ;) .

im weighing in at 105 right now... been really shitty consistency wise lately cuz my pops passed away and motivation is out the door for now.
hoping to get back into it and looking to snatch 140 and c&j 160 by the end of the year!

Holy fak that snatch to c&j ratio. If you hit a 140 snatch I think you would be more likely to hit a ~170 c&j (at least based on my experiences). Throw up some vids of dat der sexi lifting B)
