you could make your own mass gainer by buying a gallon of (chocolate) milk, some peanut butter, bananas, and oats.

2 servings of the milk a day will last you 8 days.

the shake would be

16oz milk
banana
2 tblsp pb
1/2 cup oats

(add whatever you want in whatever quantities, obviously)

800 calories, 30 protein, quick, easy, cheap

a lot of the mass gainers are just protein and sugar..maltodextrin , dextrose or pure sugar

good idea,

but for convenience sake buying isomass extreme or quickmass is way easier and does the trick
1000 calories per shake, have 2 a day, one after breakfast (get it down, doesn't have to be quick) and one after dinner, same as breaky.

This, but substitute the milk for powdered mass gainer + water.

How do you guys feel about them ?!

I can't seem to put on enough weight. Thoughts on them ?
Just curious.

Been working out tons, no mass gains at all. However, my strength is going up.

Thanks.

Habib! <3

They can help, so can eating more in general. Eggs are pretty nice little gainer snacks. Only about 120 calories each, but they add up. Oatmeal, nut butters ...

If you want lean gains, protein and healthy fats are the way to go; if you're using up CHO as glycogen at a solid rate, carbs won't hurt as much.

Creatine can also do the trick if you need another 2-15 pounds (results vary a lot, it depends on your starting point, etc.). It's a muscle volumizer, pure and simple.

Weight gain is incredibly easy: you just eat more of anything.

Lean mass gain is based on your dedication to protein, for the most part. It also depends in part on the health of your mitochondria, your metabolism of macros, whether you're in an anabolic state often enough ... that's where eating frequent meals with protein helps: on the anabolism front.

Eat more food. Mass is fat and muscle. Mass gainer isn't going to make you any stronger, just fatter.

What do you eat now typically?

How is a ''mass gainer'' gonna make him fatter?

My current mass gainer is:
-250 ml milk (rest is water
-100g PB
-75g CP mass gainer
-half banana (60g)
-Hafl serving of frozen berries (75g)

Macros:
94 carbs
61 fat
58g prot
1177 kcal

Mass gainers are good but expensive, so I started my own which is fairly inexpensive.

2 cups whole milk
40g plain oats
1 scoop ISO 100 hydrolyzed protein
1 cup rice krispies or 30 grams (any cereal works)
1 instant oatmeal pack (preference for cinnamon and spice)
1 whole egg

Peanut butter can be added as well, but i opt out to maintain the fat low.

Macros: 934 cal
Protein - 58
Carbs - 112
Fat - 28.5

sounds like he's already eating enough if his strength is going up, eating 1000kcal over maintenance will make you fat.
