then you start looking in other places.
there's a fine line between patterns and statistics. are we talking about numbers or good character judgment?
you're one of those judge a book by the cover types, aren't ya?
Let me give you an easy example of why you're right about that.

Sometimes the book's content is all over its cover - and a book's cover is becoming an increasingly viable way to judge inner character with how narcissistic and superficial this society is becoming. Many people are now so predictably eager to display whatever virtues they want to signal using their: Apparel, hairstyles, even mannerisms. To be honest, at this point I have to ask how old you you?
You sound like you're quite out of touch and naive, if you haven't gained the ability to quickly judge a person by his or her "cover" by now. This is a standard ability that almost everyone has now and the idea that people are so much deeper than their surface appearance is a very outdated concept that has been long debunked. Of course, this doesn't mean that you automatically mistreat someone based on your prejudice. It just means that you are able to use statistics and probability to quickly prepare yourself mentally for how to deal with the type of things this person is most likely to throw at you - if they surprise you by being an outlyer, that's okay too.
Also to answer your question about statistics - I'm talking about the statistics which can determine how likely it is that you will be able to easily attract workers with good character in the future.
At the rate of societal decline, it will be extremely unlikely that within the next decade.. you will be able to even find individuals who aren't going to be narcissistic, brainless, lazy and entitled. Especially when talking about lower level jobs, like admin assist or Mcdonald's burger flipper. The turnover rate for jobs like these for reasons of bad character (SHows up late, has an attitude, living at home so doesn't give a fuck etc.) is unbelievably high with this generation.
