are you allergic? i'm lactose intolerant and the lactase isn't quite enough. i still need a few pills if i drink it, but lactase definitely works for me.

what happens to you guys with your lactose intolerance?

I'm pretty sure I am to some extent lactose intolerant...but I think it just gives me soft shits and sometimes gas...I don't complain. Feels good to shit all the time :D.

Yeah I've got a ton of allergies, soy milk has plenty calls though

eggs

cashew butter, sunflower seed butter

honey, molasses if you can take it down

if you really want calories these are solid options. eggs aren't massive on calories but if you take them down in primal raw form they pile up quickly.

I eat tons of eggs cooked, can't imagine eating them raw D:

we can't digest it, which is similar to normal people eating too much fiber. for people with slight intolerance, it acts as a mild laxative, gives some gas, bloating, nausea. but it changes over time and i've gotten significantly more sensitive. if i put a bit of butter on a slice of toast, i'll get diarrhea in about 20 min. i can counter it with pills; the more lactose, the more pills. if i consume 8oz of cow's milk, i'd probably need ~15 pills. 2 slices of cheddar ~1 pill. if i ever eat away from home, the rule of thumb is take twice as many pills. luckily they're pretty cheap, ~$0.09 each at costco. much better than having allergies.

I don't get allergies from butter :o but I eat margarine, I just get the worst smelling farts known to man. I'm actually able to eat cheddar though, my mum told me something about the way they process it removes the lactose. I can eat as much cheddar as I want without any side effects

lactose is just the sugar. butter/cheese are primarily fat, so it has very little lactose. i just happen to be sensitive enough it bothers me.

if your body is fine eating butter, why do you eat margarine? only reason i use the olive oil fake-butter is because of the lactose; otherwise i'd eat butter for sure.
