It doesn't matter. We are fucked either way.
Long thoughts on this:
We are on the brink of a world war as it is, and we are actually coming off as the bad guys in the conflicts right now, but our media doesn't paint that picture. Given my utter lack of trust in the media, I can't really know what is propaganda and what isn't though (I just hear things from friends in military that try to stay 'in the know'). The current administration has put in to motion a lot of the things that are culminating to very unfavorable outcomes. Given that Hillary is in line with the current path of action, the only thing to expect is a continuation of business as usual. This type of continuation will not fix anything. It might drag out a system of complacency and comforts, and, at best, a gradual slope toward the catastrophe that will inevitably come (in the long term, we can't keep piling on debt and limiting groups of people in order to raise up groups of others - it will fail, sooner or later). There is already talk of an impeachment order toward Clinton, we are on the brink of a world war from a hole we dug ourselves in to, and Russia is sick of our shit and already feels strain form Clinton (if you see any of the more recent forums where Putin speaks). So, with this option, if she wins, she could get booted out, or lead us in to a world war, or continue a system of corruption and regulate/tax us to death. I can't stand the health care option - my health insurance provider left the marketplace last month and I'll be losing it on Dec 31st, the cheapest option remaining now is $360/mon with almost a $7000 deductible. I personally can't find any upside with her.
As crazy as it sounds, the only 'upside' of Trump is that there won't be business as usual - there just can't be. He is the example of a wildcard, for good or for bad. There will be a shake up, and it will cause either good results, or expedited catastrophe. In either case, there will be change. In the highly unlikely chance that he could create positive change and follow through with his slogan, then 'yay for us'. In the very likely chance that it leads to complete failure, then change may still happen rapidly. We may once again find reason to unite as a country under one cause. We may become so overwhelmed by a feeling of disenfranchisement by the state of affairs of the government and political sphere that we finally learn to dismantle the widespread corruption and underhandedness that seems to be running rampant. In that end, if it came to that, it would be my hope that the band-aid would be ripped off, the pain would be swift, and healing would begin. Maybe, if we were lucky, a strong leader could emerge that would try to unite the people.
Either way, there is bleakness to it all. Personally, I like and have a lot of guns, already pay more in taxes than a lot of people make in a year, and my health insurance is going to more than quintuple with no improvement in coverage (and if I don't get insurance, I will owe thousands in fines anyway). So, I pick the shitty wildcard with hope that real change comes in one form or another.
