In Australia at least, Rogue have a huuuge markup. They are by far the sexiest but by far the most expensive

Id consider checking out elitefts https://www.elitefts.com/shop/strength-equipment/power-racks.html

Not sure how the shipping is to Canada (from USA)

I'll check them out.

I'm pretty sure rogue has a canadian warehouse in southern ontario so shipping is free in ontario for some things

That's why I asked Rew what city he lives in because I know of a few good stores in a couple places across the country that would be worth at least walking in to if he was in or near one of those locations.

Rogue delivers to Canada and I think for any US-only stuff they pay for any duty charges.

I did notice the rack conversion kit and it's my other leading choice, but I already have a half rack for squat + bp which is why I'm fine with a closed rack. Any serious clients/lifters will appreciate it. 108 would be fine in my place, just because we're renovating a garage. Ceiling is not low :)

The conversion kit would save some money, though. That's why it's still in the conversation. I need to check its options. So many freaking options with Rogue.

Half rack is looking great for me. My brother has one and he loves it!

Yeah it says right on their site. They must have just changed how they ship because I swear to god they had a shipping map where Ontario was free for the shipping included price but there was additional cost associated to shipments to other places the farther away from Ontario the shipment was going. This was like a month ago

Maybe I'm losing it...

Whatever power rack you get, get one with a dip attachment and pullup bars. If you can't get pullup bars, you can use an olympic barbell, set it up high, and use it as a straight bar (as long as you don't mind bending your knees to not hit the ground as you come down).

A nice feature to have is an expandable, attachable high/low pulley for a power rack. Mine has one. I can't really recommend Powertec (they have shit quality control), but if you have no issues out of the box (uneven welding), then you won't have issues moving forward.

Testimonial noted. I like the look of the Froning (sexy as fekk) but the half rack makes a lot of sense and it's a lower cost option. I will have to double-check what options it has available for safeties, chins, etc.. It's pretty much the s2/s3 conversion kit or the Froning, though. Still looking at other ideas but it's a tight race between these options. I ahve a good half rack right now which is the ONLy reason why the Froning has been slightly ahead. I still need to consider that having two half racks isn't exactly a bad thing. Also, I don't really love the bench options @ Rogue. I like just about everything else they have for training. I'll probably just go with their cheapest flat bench. I have a better adjustable bench for my other rack.

Donno, I'll probably phone my order in. Assuming the town approves my business pre-application stuff/application stuff.

All good points. I will definitely look at available options. I know what I'd get with the Rogue Froning, and I'm pretty sure I saw options for the Half rack conversion kit. Pull-ups are definitely covered. Not 100% sure if both have dips options but I already have a dip/chin set up. I will double-check on pulleys. There a good chance I'll have a separate cable machine in a corner. There are tons of sick options. I have a universal set with a pulley system if all else fails.

Basically I have something like 10-20k of equipment already, and I need about 5-10k more worth of stuff to finish the gym. 15-30k goes a long, long way in a garage gym setting.
