then do a body building program and not a ppl or strength program.
you cant have the best of both worlds

you can build strength and mass, or you can shape your muscle and put on muscle size and definition.

pick one.

Mass is different then size?

you wont be hitting it as hard as you could once a week when you do it twice a week.

Yeh but u can still hit it pretty hard on a ppl and op isn't at a point where he needs to specialize on anything to balance his physique or anything like that.

Pplppl/rest is goat for natty hypertrophy probably

look @ a strong man competitor and look at a body builder/physique competitor.

one is big and strong, one is big and defined.

choose your goal on how you want to look like.

that just comes with time.
i wouldnt worry about #'s ever. i don't, ive had days where i dont put more than 185 on the bar for bench (350 max bench)

numbers are for egos if you're not competing in a strongman type competition, unless its just a personal goal.

to build a great physique you have to throw your lifting ego out and focus on shaping and building the muscle.

monday chest
tuesday back
wednesday arms
thursday legs
friday shoulders
rest
rest

or something similar.

But they're bad, like bad. It's because all I cared about was my physique. I don't even 225 for sets on squats. I was going to stick with PPL because of the consistency I wanted to make some great gains before next summer when I cut

ive always done a body buildilng type routine and ive always made progress number wise throughout the years until i plateau'd at higher numbers.
just keep pushing, your numbers will come with time.

its a marathon, not a race.

But would I make as many gains with my legs and triceps (parts that lack) as I would with a PPL? I mean once a week with more volume is nice but I'm just not sure

you'll make as much gains as you put in the work.
frankly working out for two years and not being able to squat 225 tells me you don't actually go to the gym to improve, you go to the gym to toss around weight in a pointless fashion.

you get out what you put in.
you go in, leave your heart and soul in that gym, come out tired, sweaty, exhausted.
youll make gains like you could never imagine.

you go in, lift some weights, hit some body parts, and go home and get a good night rest.
youll probably stay a weak sack of shit for your entire life.

its a matter of effort, and that effort is up to you.

Well I'm only 18. When I first started I just turned 16, I was uneducated as hell and your right I probably was a moron. But now it's a different story.

Also I weigh 154.
