What nobody mentions is that eating large meals late at night and then going to sleep over time can start to stretch out the musculature of your esophageal sphincter and lead to heart burn and gerd

Is it just carbs? is there actually hard evidence i shouldn't eat after a certain time?

thought our body didn't work on a clock like schedule and was just 24/7 operating and didn't mattered when we ate or slept?

circadian rhythm is true, as far as when we eat, I don't see how it'd make a difference on body composition

Our clock is based on when the sun goes down our body senses it and makes melatonin, something like that triggering sleep

seriously...this whole "day" mindset is stupid.

your body has no clue what a day is when it comes to nutrition.

your weight gain/loss is a result of an AVERAGE of what you consume over a lifetime.

e.g. if you eat a shitload today and nothing tomorrow, I don't think it's going to make a different from a weight or body composition perspective, but it will definitely impact other things like your organ function, alertness, etc.

Every organism is very complex and the human body is one of the more complex.

When mice are housed in constant bright/dim light, they consume more food during the subjective light phase. These mice exhibit significantly increased body mass and reduced glucose tolerance compared with mice under standard light/dark cycles, despite similar caloric intakes and total motor activity.

Genes being expressed as a reaction to a factor or genes being expressed at a different time than usual can lead to a cascading effect.

I just want to let you guys know that I'm a person who doesn't care about time. I eat whenever I want, usually right before bed.

It doesn't know when it's 8 o clock but it gets into roughly 24 hour patterns. Even basic physiological functions like blood pressure fluctuate fairly precisely with time of day. Keep in mind that clock time is a fairly recent human construct, our bodies don't physically understand time values but understand that you just woke up and it's morning, or that you've been awake for a while and now you're getting hungry etc
