Acting as if you're old when you're 27 lol... most bodybuilders don't peak until they're 30+

Also, 45 year old men's physique guy:

On the other hand I'm assuming OP doesn't want to hop on gear lol. Not saying you can't be shredded and big at that age, but it sure does help lol.

Haha yeah ofc. but 27 is certainly not too late to get ripped... I'm sure there's plenty of stories of guys being fat fucks until their 30s and then get ripped by 40s

I think it is generally thrown around that men peak physically around 30 years old, so you've got a lot of time ahead of you. (I'm looking forward to the weird 'old man strength' that comes from highly controlled neuromuscular control)

"The muscle strength of men and women peaks anywhere from 20 to 30 years old. If you’re not suffering from injuries or disease, you can maintain this strength for another 20 years. When you reach middle age, your muscular performance gradually declines at a rate of approximately five percent every ten years, according to the "American College of Sports Medicine" article, Strength Training for Bone, Muscle, and Hormones. While men and women generally experience a loss of 30 to 40 percent of their functional strength, people can counteract the loss of muscle mass in later years by engaging in a strength training regimen."

Don't worry about metabolism or testosterone levels. Just focus on finding a good routine and figure out the cals and macros for those calories (carbs/fat/prot) and you'll get the results you want.

On the age question: I'm 38 and I can change my body pretty quickly if need be (I often change physique), and 100% natty. You can easily get shredded @ 27. It's easy at 38. People who are 30 and think they can't get shredded are setting themselves up for failure.

I see 70 year old triathletes that look pretty shredded and they aren't complete scrawns. It can be done.

Bulking is easier (diet-wise) than shredding. Shredding is just diet. So you bulk properly and then you change gears and shred, rinse and repeat. No worries, you're still young! :)
