Can find a few studies there if you really care, but your mind is already made up, so really doesn't matter whether you look or not.

I won't be posting again to argue something that doesnt affect me at all.

To the OP, I hope you find what you're looking for. What works for one person may not necessarily work for abother, but I can tell you that the best shape Ive ever been in came during a time where I lost 20 lb on a low carb diet.

I'm nothing like that. If you can prove me wrong, I am more than willing to admit that I was wrong.

Unfortunately I have a huge test on Wednesday and I don't really have time to look at what you posted until after.

There are multiple medical studies that show that cutting back on carbs is more effective than cutting back on fats for losing weight.

The degree you do it is obviously dependent upon your goals. Many people eat ridiculous amounts of carbs daily, which makes losing weight tough. Even just cutting back a bit will help.

If you are going all out, try to stay under 30-50 grams per day. This is not sustainable long term for most people, as it severely limits your diet.

If you're just trying to lose a bit of weight, try to get an idea of how many carbs you eat on average per day, and cut it down by 1/4 or 1/2.

TLDR: Yes it's safe, just adjust the amount based upon your goals.

I lost over 30 lbs eating about 150-200g of carbs a day

If you are cutting back on carbs and starving, first give it a few days, your body is used to eating at chinese buffets.

If you are still starving or feeling like shit, you need to up either carb macro or protein macros assuming your fat macros are sufficient to carry out bodily functions.

For example, if I'm cutting back on carbs for whatever reason, I will make sure my protein macros are high.

I think the misunderstanding here is the ambiguity of "low carb diet", as in, how low are you going?

Just as there are studies claiming low carb is best for fat loss, I've read plenty of studies showing low fat diets are superior.

I actually tend to prefer low fat diets. Energy in v out will always prevail though.

High-carb crew here. I cut into single digit fat % while eating upwards of 300g carbs per day. Was losing 1kg/week at one point while cutting with 200g++ carbs.

You can look competition ready with hundreds of grams/carb per day... I'd only cut them out if I were competing and my coach advised me to do so.

Look up ketosis/keto diet. It's safe, and can be very effective. The diet is low carb and composed of more fat to make you satiated and less hungry.

It's not "LOW carb" but almost NO carb. Carb from pure veggies if even. And not more fat but A LOTTTT more fat lol

I enjoyed keto tbh, made meals really simple I had a lot more energy and felt better on it too. Except the day after carb up day, gave me the biggest mood swings ever, so fuking depressed for no reason, they didn't start till about 2 months in though, and after the 3rd weekend of being sad as Fuk for no reason I stopped cutting. Idk how that fucked with my mood so much tbh
