I am definately not at all trolling.
So you're saying all these ways on the internet that make you lose fat more efficiently are bullshit and the only real way is to burn more than you eat?
Alright fuck it, I'll bite.
Doing my best to dumb it down and make it extremely simple so you get the idea, but not extremely accurate in the way I use phrases and terms.
Your body is programmed to do certain things based on the input. It burns calories to produce the energy needed to do certain functions like movement, run different systems like gi tract, etc.
So if your body burns 2000 calories a day to run all of your systems and just keep your body running, that's what it needs to maintain your current weight. If you only consume 1500 calories in the day, your body needs to find a way to get the extra 500 calories to continue working normally, so it takes your storage calories (fat) and will burn them to maintain homeostasis. If you consume 2500 calories in the day, it only needs 2000, so it stores the extra 500 calories for a time that you might need it.
So when you force your body to do movement that isn't necessary for you to live (running, lifting, swimming, etc.) it burns extra calories to produce that movement that it didn't need to burn that day, so lets say you do enough physical activity where you burn 1000 calories. Instead of your body needing 2000 calories that day to function, it now needs 3000 calories. Which means if you continue eating the way you were (If it was under 3000 calories for one day), you will notice that you might be losing weight because you'll be under what your body needs.
You technically don't need to do any exercise to lose weight, if you're willing to cut into your daily consumption to lower the caloric intake.
All of the different things that you see online about losing weight faster is for the most part, complete nonsense. I'm not familiar with all of the products, but some of the products do things where it dehydrates you or makes you sweat more, causing you to lose "water weight", which tricks people into thinking that they actually lost weight, when in reality they actually didn't lose any fat.
Think about it in terms of a biological response to the environment. If your body needs 2000 calories to power your body and we weren't able to store extra calories in the form of fat, we would be in trouble. One day you would eat 1500 calories and your body wouldn't be able to power all of the systems needed for a normal life. One day might be fine, but think if you're under 500 calories for a week. A month. You would be in serious trouble.
If you are being serious, hopefully that helps. If not, well I needed a study break LOL.
I didn't really reread what I typed and it all just came off the top of my head, so hopefully it isn't complete and utter nonsense.
