I have rheumatoid arthritis and got these for a long time.
Definitely not a solution to the problem.

You need to find out exactly what is wrong amd bothering your ankle so much and take the proper precautions.
Ie: building the muscles up down there. Working with bands in different directions with your ankle and icing afterwards. Don't expect to get better within months.. i am just now able to run and not be bothered thanks to massive band work on my ankles and knees.
Most of all. ALWAYS use a compression brace when you workout or run on it.

Compression also helps while you are sleeping.

What sort of testing diagnosed your rheumatoid, cause being in the shitty military and running with weights vests will fuck up your ankles and knees all by themselves

yeah my knees and ankles are messed up from being in the marines for 6 years haha. They hurt LONG before I was diagnosed with RA.

But they are in pretty good shape now.

I got all the blood work man.
RA factor, CCP count, had MRI of several ligaments done that confirmed it all.

Dat disability rating though. RA is pretty high right? I'm still waiting on mine for Osgood schlatter in both knees, torn meniscus in right knee, torn AC joint in right shoulder, bulging L5 disc, pinched nerve, and hearing loss.

Yeah it is, but only if your symptoms are bad.
Mine have dramatically subsided since I went to a low fat gluten-free vegan diet.

Goodluck on the hearing loss. I didn't get shit for it. VA only willing to paybforbthe largest grossest hearing aid on planet earth.. ended up buying my own for 3 grand, and it is totally worth it.

When did you submit your claim? My buddy got 10% automatically for hearing loss so I'm hoping it'll be the same for me. Some new 'rule' for anyone in a combat MOS gets 10% for hearing? Idk because my claim is still be processed.

Back in 09 i submitted it. I remember getting something, like you said, i also remember having the option to use one for free, like i mentioned about the large gross one. Got married and have a 2 year old so my memory of the whole process isn't really straight if you know what I'm sayin haha.
