if u do the machine, do slow and controlled reps (8-10+ range imo)

the movement puls a lot of tension on the acl, last thing u want is going too heavy or jerking the weight and snapping your acl, which will require surgery most likely and rip gainz

anterior cruciate lig

yea dont jerk ur weights around

but its my understanding that time under tension, is exactly that, time under tension

more time under tension = more tension.... self explanatory

more tension for a body part that is injured, is often a bad thing

dont go super slow and shit, just do it at a normal pace if even at all, cause injury

Don't necessarily avoid them... Just avoid doing them like a retard.

wouldn't worry about it if it doesn't hurt doing 'em.

you're gonna have a hard time training quads without some sort of knee extension

My quads are pretty big, especially in relation to the rest of my body and I don't do any direct quad work, in fact I only do low bar squats (mostly hammies/glutes, as well as sumo deads which are also more hammies/glutes.) and the only lower body accessory I do are GHRs, my quads are growing just fine.
