Powerlifting is literally the big 3. He didn't say he's against accessories, I think what he meant is the best way to increase your squat is to squat and the same goes for the other two lifts.

i said not true, as far as "make strength increases more frequently"

it depends upon how far experienced the person is. both can be just about as difficult to increase.... muscle mass and/or strength. and both can be just as slow. either way its like comparing apples to oranges, they are completely different things and no way to measure which is faster.
