I like boxing better too, I just know grappling may come in handy in a street fight if I don't want to catch an assault charge and k/o him. But striking techniques have always been #1

No one probably caught it but I said that earlier cuz I know she doesn't post her anymore and I sometimes wonder if she's got a multi. She definitely jelly thinking about you grappling ;)

maybe she has a multi maybe she doesnt ^_^

yea and street fights usually always go to the ground anyways and if you know a few basic joint manipulation techniques youll be fine. But if you know boxing techniques it wouldnt even get to that point

boxed for about 3 years, but never went to a gym

i was very lucky though. met a golden gloves boxer at a bar and an amateur fighter at work and trained and sparred twice a week with those cats. in the one dudes basement, and the other at a karate dojo after hours which he had the keys to.

the best advice i can give to you: you want to train with humble dudes who have their egos in check. and if you want to box, you can't do it casually and succeed.

if you're up to the commitment, it's worth it. all of that was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and i learned a lot about myself through it. good luck, feel free to PM me if you ever wanna talk about boxing.

Exactly, but in this day and age everyone is sue happy and will jump at the opportunity to get some free cash.

I got into a tussle a year or two ago after this dude knocked my friend out walking out of a bar and was whaling down on his unconscious face. I merked this dude until the cops pulled me off and threatened to pepper spray me. Ended up our other buddy with us knew the guy and all of us went back to the guy who's face I murdered and smoked blunts/did keg stands with room temp beer at his loft! So maybe fighting is the answer! :D

if there's a gym in the area you're going to, maybe try to express to the owner that you might be interested in joining, and ask to sit in and watch some training and sparring one night. if you can, ask the owner about his history with boxing, and just listen.

you will know who's there for their love of the sport and to better themselves, and who's there because they have issues and are looking to hurt someone. when you're squared up, it's very revealing.

I have issues and am always looking to hurt someone, but it always happens at the strip clubs. Should just drop the S, cuz bitches be tripping.
