80s is pretty nuts tho. that's more than my db chest press.
I can't even imagine a 1rm with dbs.. you get quite a bit out of the stretch reflex, and getting them into a decent starting position would be tough. you're going for a 305 push press by sept??
W/ 80lb db's I can usually kick them up with my knees and get situated. Depending on the bench tho sometimes it's hard to plant my back firmly so ill have someone lift the dbs up for me and get situated. Usually have someone push my elbows in on the first rep when I'm going heavy, for some reason I can crank em out after that but the first one is always a bitch!
305 on bench by sept. I used to rep 225x5 last July-August, shoulder probs, took time off from bench.. then ultimately all together. 180lb on bench now is a fucking struggle lol!
