I didn't know dryers/water in the washer were hot enough to kill the germs, or all germs/bacteria whatever. I don't think my detergent is antibacterial but I'd assume they use something like that on their scrubs.
I think it's mainly the dryer that kills the microbes and no they use normal detergent. They do sell antibacterial detergent which hospitals use but it's pricey compared to normal stuff. This is what I've heard from friends who are rns at least since I was curious about it.
