Stop lifting weights (improperly) and rest for at least a week. Start small and work back up. Best way to injure yourself seriously is to turn something small into something big by trying to work out hard too soon

the sharp pain is most likely caused by ur muscles cramping up when you move the injured muscle/tendon (there are a ton of small erectors near the spine) to protect it
take 1-2 weeks off, when u have no more pain, just build back up gradually, should be np
consult doctor if you have numbness or pain running down your leg though
