At some point you realize cutting is useless unless you do a show. Just slowly bulk until you are heavy but still with abs. I gained about 20 lbs my first year and after that it was slow...about 30 lbs in 4 years.
I did much better this go around .. Gained about 17-20 lbs in 7 months, and started my cut in mid feb and I'm down to 169 and I've maintained all the strength so far.
I agree , cutting is a waste. i was doing fantastic and still had abs at the start of december.. exams and the holidays fucked me up and I gained like 7 lbs in that month, otherwise I think i'd still be bulking up because I was on like a .5-1lb gain a month up until that point.
I'll never do a show as I'm an athlete , anaerobic sports mostly but I'm going to start pro wrestling training next summer so I need to start putting mass on so I look more credible.
