i CUT weight fast eating 300 a day... breh dropping carbs is such a freakin myth... Eat good carbs, and expend them during the day... simple as that

this basically

Cutting carbs will be misleading because you'll lose water weight and then as soon as you bump carbs back up you'll regain that water weight. Get lean as fuark on a diet you can sustain is the best route IMO.

+ this

maybe try sticking with current carbs so long as you can maintain intensity both aerobically and anaerobically. Then drop carbs little by little enough so that it doesnt fuck with your training

Don't forget about fiber tho. Ketogenesis is a good way and it is actually sustainable but it's tough. Biochemically it's possible to maintain all your energy but you'll need higher amounts of proteins throughout the day and because we'really in the 21st century Def take branchAAs and creatine. BranchedAAs help if you're low on carbs because you don't have to break down protein to make them. Usually body breaks carbs and goes through that process with minimal atp expenditure but if you're low on that it'll be forced to convert proteins and muscle (if prolonged) to make branchAA

I'm taking a shit rn and can post some KNAWLEDGEEE if later when I take it shit and remind myself to but 100g is tough to do....one banana and apple has like 50g each.

200g carbs should be OK. Just eat healthier whole foods with tons of fiber.

Because everyone is giving personal input...

I normally eat 600g carbs per day when I don't care about weight and trying to put on muscle.. I didn't feel fat until I was constantly checking myself in mirror. Probably a mental thing. Didn't gain much weight during that entire process. Maybe 3lb total but I waseating clean and lifting heavy.
I'm down to 200g now and I feel lighter but that's mainly due to dropping calories by 1,300. Carb wise I don't feel sluggish or not. I think its purely mental.

Just drink coffee or energy drink for quick energy if you really need it

My friend does competitive (did) bodybuilding shows and he would go on phases where he would not eat any carbs and only tiny pieces of chicken through the day to keep his metabolism up and insulin spiked. That's just too brutal imo. Breaking down proteins and whole meats for essential AAs is tough and personally I'd rather eat those 50g carbs than eat 200 calories or chicken

Shit there's research saying that muscular loss is not even that big of a loss during cutting phases. (Not really cutting but during fasted states)... has more to do with muscle types converting from type 2 to type 1...Basically change from explosive to endurance or vice versa depending on exercise needs

I actually decided to drop protein a bit and raise fat and carb intake.

Depends on your body too . I have a hell of a time losing weight and getting toned after a certain point without cutting back significantly on carbs and upping protein/healthy fats.

I just have trouble taking in enough protein to compensate.

.8 / kg of bw. I've experimented and I find that I don't need huge protein intake but carbs helps my intensity in the gym which is more important , at least for me

need more protein and less carbs

either you wanna sacrifice your perceived idea of intensity by eating more carbs, or lowering the carbs and actually losing a lot of weight
