Fuk no, so stressful being around retards and depending on them. Giving such simple orders coming back 5 mins later to nothing done, then getting cocked for it.
He's talking about what I did

Canadian forces PLQ (leadership course) they get 5 hours of "rest" in 5 days, that's not even sleep, just rest. That's so fuked... How do you even operate on that.
That's pretty much what happened on every single field portion, of every course i went through. It's not that bad. That'll answer op on that part of his question, you just go through it no questionning anything. Losing my ego and stopping the negative train of thought was the main part that helped me breeze through everything. Just do what you're asked to do and stop complaining. It's hard to explain, really. You just go on autopilot and time flies. Plus these field phases are usually ONLY 5 days. It's just a little push. IMO dumb exercises where you go to the middle of nowhere for a month or two and you barely get to wash and eat shit food are much more exhausting mentally and there is no payoff at the end. You don't come back proud of having gone through them like you would on hell week types of formations, you just tell yourself ''oh so that's gonna be my job twice a year for the next 20 years huh'' Of course I haven't done anything remotely close to hell week in terms of difficulty, but it's the same concept.
