How would the quads have any influence over hip vs shoulder height? If your hips rise faster than your shoulders it's either because your glutes and hams are unable to maintain an upright pelvis or your erector spinae are unable to maintain an upright spine, or both.
I'm able to maintain it. the lift just becomes much harder.
possibly due to my body putting itself into a more advantageous position due to muscle imbalances? I haven't trained quads in probably a year now, and I've been pulling sumo, and doing low bar squats 2-3x a week.
