I had bad knees
Hurt to squat deep
I squatted deep
I have good knees now

Same here.

Had knee injuries from when I was 15 until I was 20 when I started training, did A2G squats and mobility. No knee pain after I started that.

I used to have bad knees. I have suffered from chronic patella tendinitis for 2011-2012 (12+ months). Now I can squat over 500 and squat 3 times a week painless. Go figure ;)

I have had one majorish knee injury and two minor ones on the same knee.

Be humble, build flexibility etc.

Dirtbike race season last year my knees would fatigue and some minor pain the night and day following. Trained legs hard in off season with squats and accessory now I don't get the knee pain.

I would never want to do that.

Realize he does this because he needs views to market his gym wear.

assuming you're dead set on being able to walk when you're older, actively train legs as you would any other muscle group, but start off slow (seems like you're already doing that so that's good) except progress in weight/volume/whatever you're doing a bit more slowly, as per your discretion and good judgment. of course you know we're not only building muscle here, but tendon/ligament strength, joint cushioning, etc.

never forget good form! yeah yeah always important, but with a sketchy knee it could set you back more than you'd expect, made this mistake myself once, really sucks.

also pls set realistic natty goals \o

Proper strength training doesn't make you immobile when you're old. Improper training (of any kind) does but if you maintain the integrity of your joints you should not wear down joints simply through being active

how did you reach that conclusion from what i said? that's pretty crazy man.

all i'm suggesting is he takes extra time and care to build up his joints. i think that's pretty basic stuff. it also seems obvious to me, that depending on what exactly he means by "bad knee", it's 100% possible to make the bad knees worse by training as if they weren't compromised at all.

or, in other words, to make it a little more clear, i'm suggesting the opposite of "go set an all-time PR next leg day"

How the hell can you not tell he is roided to fuck? It never ceases to amaze me how the fitness industry has warped people's perceptions to the point where guys over 220 lbs and shredded aren't even suspect

You will never get to that stage unless you stick a needle in your ass

idk him but i remember there was a thread about him earlier, isnt he like 6'5? i mean being 220 lbs+ at 6'5 isnt really a mindblower.
