I remember having to reset the weight numerous times because I wasn't hitting depth. A lot of guys especially when they first start like to see the weight increase quickly, in turn their depth will suffer even more.

And its safe to say that you don't do much weight on any lift either

Good tip op is to film yourself so you can see where you are going wrong, if you are at all. 185x10 is definitely not bad, especially for just starting.

Yeah, been squatting for a year then filmed myself seeing half squats. now my 315s are barely 225s.

og question: yeah good start 185 10 of 3 - i was 135 half squats (apparently) when i first started

leg press is a great exercise to increase squat strength absolutely.... you have no idea what you are talking about obviously. 185x10 when he weights 220 lbs is god awful, you should be hitting your own bodyweight for atleast 10. that is mediocre strength.

I can leg press 260-280 for 10 any day of the week. I don't feel it nearly as much as when I did 185 barbell.

Trust worthy source if you ask me.

Not to mention I never tried to up the weight, I felt comfortable doing these at full. I believe I am getting down far enough 100%.

Unless you have an injury that prevent you to them, squats will always be superior to legpress to increase squat strength. Id rather spend the energy I have doing even more squats.

i never said they were superior, but i said they were good for increasing squat strength. It helps you become stronger out of the hole actually. Not like you ladies lift anything over 225 anyway.
