I can only tell you what I have experienced from pain in that area. Pt said biceptial tendinitis for me and doing that stretch helps it feel better.

ah ok, did you stop doing any particular exercises? Also do you take anything to help strengthen joints and tendons? I'm at the point now where the more I go up in weight the more I just injure my joints and tendons... I'm starting to recover from patellar tendonits/patellar femeral syndrome which was a fucking bitch to deal with.. i just wish there is something I can wear/use to help protect me when I lift

I stopped ohp/bench for a bit. Dropped weight and worked on form tremendously on every lift.

if its a deep pain (doesnt hurt much when you press on the delt), might be the subscapularis, which is part of the rotator cuffs and the main internal rotator of the shoulder

find ways to stretch/massage it, avoid mouvements like heavy bench for a while that involve the muscle

essentially just manage it and go easy if its painful

not really, im no physical therapist, but things that seem to be beneficial are managing the muscle/tendon, massaging the muscle (google this) and stretching it often

usually goes away on its own, most of the time its cause by inflammation due to overuse

Get some lotion and rub it on the area. Then take a butter knife and rub it back and forth on the area for like 3 minutes (obviously use the dull side). The goal is to break up the scarring/myofascial tissue.

Yeah I got a lacrosse ball, but I felt like it just couldn't really dig into the spot I needed like the knife.
