Usually endurance athletes will have lower due to cardiovascular training.
Back when I ran 5k's competitively I was averaging around 38-45 rhr. Mine now is on average 50. Doctors thought I had heart problems, but it's hereditary for me. My father is 55 and his rhr is around 55 without doing much physical activity.
