just soreness/aching, started 3 days ago i think? you know those two dimple areas above your ass cheeks? i'd say it's about there and to the right just a bit

haven' touched wieghts in almost a month

I'm going to assume in my professional opinion that it's just muscle soreness from being sedentary or sitting down in uncomfortable positions for a while? how much do you weigh?
does the pain stay constant in one area? then chances are it should be fine, rub some shit on it (like vicks or something, and if that doesn't work find an OTC topical analgesic).

i was sick for about a month and during the last few days i've had some really bad backpain out of nowhere

oddly it hurts when i'm sleeping on my side or sitting on a chair but goes away when i'm actively walking around

any ideas?

seen this a lot before... and just a guess but its a muscle strain... mostly inactivity coupled to bursts of simple yet stressful movements like coughing and sneezing.
by any chance, were you coughing? especially at nights while lying down? any pain going down into your butt cheek or leg?

/edit - its the standing that helps it.. also brace yourself if you cough or sneeze

try doing planks every day, stretch, and be more conscious of your posture when you're playing d

hacking cough for most of the month even while sleeping - which made it kinda hard to sleep to boot

yeah, that's probably it then... strained muscles from coughing..especially while in postures like lying down and such...

if you're still coughing, then try bracing yourself on an object before a bit series of coughs (or limiting your coughing with conscious control). also, practice good posture.

NSAIDs like aleve may help, assuming you have no contraindications to it (look them up online...its an over the counter drug)

if the pain doesn't go away after several days, or you develop pain in the nerves running through the buttock and into the leg, then go see the doctor for a prescription

Carrying the weight of the entire team on your snappy little Yi back can be burdensome :)
