We were designed to move and do as we were cavemen that had to hunt and be active to survive. Then we were mostly farmers and had to do agricultural work which is also hard labour.
Now the selection pressures that force humans to exercise as a by product of survival are gone, and the bad habits are being passed on by lazy parents. A lazy person 20000 years ago either got their act together and worked, or died.
not all selective pressures are gone
the pressure of being attacked by predators are largely reduced, although people do still die from this
illness due to lack of exercise is an issue
other issues due to poor diet are issues
companies that supply food and other materials people use do make mistakes and have contaminated products or just general errors in production
theres still forces of selection constantly going on
even artificial selection in some parts of the world
