Grip strength? Have you played any sport ever or are you just trolling currently?
Lot of "functional athleticism" requires a good grip and I'm not just talking about someone who plays sports. It correlates to a lot of stuff, moving a friend when he needs help. Tightening things, posting things up, rock climbing, Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, list goes on.
You shouldn't be using lifting straps period. Also you can't grab a "cooch" only can touch it, it's not a cock.
