Front. Love doing them. Can't stretch a clean grip tho. Have to use crossed arms grip.

Once you actually learn to front squat it'll probably feel way more like a natural movement and you'll find it easier to get lower. Elbows up. Voted back squat however, it's pretty unbeatable other than deadlifts maybe.

I'm actually fine. It's just the grip. I may just have to buy straps to do this

Ok... I don't mean to offend.. But if I saw a guy doing front squats with wrist straps like that.... I think I would pass out from laughter. I've never seen that, but God it was horrible.

Spend like a week focusing on tricep, lats, and wrist flexibility and you'll be fine.

Start with a 1 or 2 finger grip... And slowly work until you can get all 4. Some people prefer only using 3 and that's fine too...

Whatever you decide to do.. Masking your limited mobility by holding wrist straps while front squatting.. That's certainly not the answer.

A lot of powerlifters use straps to front squat at the previous gym. Quite sure if you laughed they would just front 500 and laugh back. It's pretty common in any gym that actually has decent lifters I find.

I think there are very very very few people that need to use those... And that physically couldn't get into the proper front rack position.

Idgaf if the dude was setting world records... It's ridiculous and shows a lack of commitment to mobility work.

I probably exaggerated with the 1 week comment.. But a month is surely enough time to be able to get into a front rack position for most people.

Front squats aren't overhead squats.... They don't require much mobility at all.

Lemme guess.. U use straps or the crossed arms method?
