Went up 6 lbs in a week? and I think he means that because it increases your performance i.e. more reps, it increases the amount of muscle you can potentially gain, so it has an indirect anabolic effect as opposed to a direct effect.
Yeah well, he's wrong. Nothing anabolic about creatine.

Your body absorbs more water than you know.
One night last year I decided to test this for laughs:
- Morning after intense workout, weighed 176 lbs.
- Night time after full meal and at LOTS of water, weighed in at 191 lbs.
*Creatine also helps store water in your body, so this could also play a huge factor.
Nice test. But empty stomach vs full stomach is being weighed here? If so, only thing I can conclude is you have a big stomach and intestines.
Water storage is exclusive to muscle fibers.
@dro94, gains are gains right? If I were you I'd weigh more frequently and adjust your calories / cardio accordingly for a slow (ye, it's sad) and steady rise in lbs.
